Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Yarros
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away…because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.
With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wing leader in the Riders Quadrant.
She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.
Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.
Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.
C.M. Stunich is my second favorite reverse harem author alongside Ruby Vincent (who is also second in my heart).
Her reverse harem bully romance is a staple that everyone must read and everyone in the reverse harem bully romance community definitely has read it already.
The bullying is pretty harsh though, the good thing is you can tell the author made an effort with the grovel. She did not let the guys go easily.
The Secret Girl by C.M. Stunich
Series: Adamson All-Boys Academy #1
Genre: Reverse Harem, Romance, Contemporary, High School, New Adult, Mystery
I’m a Void, a rare supernatural capable of absorbing powers at the brush of my skin.
Feared. Hated. Untouchable.
Thibault Academy is full of supernaturals that want me dead, and the most powerful of them, the Paragons, will stop at nothing to ensure I go back to the hell I came from. They’re cruel, heartless, and have created an unlikely alliance to take me down.
If I want to learn how to control the nothingness, I’ll have to survive them.
I was born of the void, but I’ll die from the power.
This is a reverse harem bully romance.
This author is another really popular author in the reverse harem community (thanks to her Cupidity series). This is definitely one of the most tamed reverse harem bully romances on this list!
I definitely recommend it if you feel like the bullying in the other books is too extreme for you.
And definitely recommend it if you are sick of contemporary reverse harem bully romance and are looking for non-contemporary reverse harem bully romance.
Savage Royals by Callie Rose
Series: Boys of Oak Park Prep #1
Genre: Reverse Harem, Romance, High School, Contemporary, New Adult, Dark
A long time ago, I was one of them. Now I’m back, and they hate me for it.
Plucked out of the harsh life I was living and thrust into a world of unimaginable wealth, power, and privilege, all I want to do is keep my head down and survive until graduation.
But they have other plans—Mason, Finn, Elias, and Cole.
Everyone at my new school calls them the Princes, and that’s exactly what they act like. They always get what they want… and who they want.
And they want me.
I’m not sure why, since they all seem to hate me.
The Princes are gorgeous, flawless, and cruel. They own this town, and they’re determined to own me too.
To break me.
What they don’t know is that I’ve already been broken once.
I won’t let it happen again.
Just Drop Out by J. Bree
Series: Hannaford Prep #1
Genre: Reverse Harem, Romance, Dark, Contemporary, High School, New Adult
After surviving foster care and a high school that breeds gang members and drug dealers I’ve finally found my path to freedom: emancipation and a full ride scholarship at the ultra-exclusive Hannaford Prep.
All I have to do is survive.
After attracting the wrong sort of attention from the richest boy in the country, pissing off the hottest guy in school and being humiliated in front of my favorite rock idol I am now the target of the most popular, and cruelest, group in the freshman class.
They want my blood. They can have it. I’m stronger than any spoilt rich kid.
But can I survive the game the Juniors have started with me as the goal? Now every boy at Hannaford wants to have me.
All except the three I want.
Ash, Harley, and Blaise don’t care about the game, all they care about is destroying me.
J. Bree is (in my opinion) the best reverse harem author aside from Kristy Cunning (RIP) because of the good romance, character design, plot, and worldbuilding she always manages to masterfully create in her books.
It’s a must-read for the entire genre of reverse harem and subgenre of reverse harem bully romance!
Kings of Quarantine by Caroline Peckham, Susanne Valenti
Series: Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep #1
Genre: Reverse Harem, Romance, Dark, Contemporary, High School, New Adult, Fantasy
Cruel. Heartless. Quarantined. The ruthless boys of Everlake Prep never saw lockdown coming. But the virus isn’t their number one enemy.
I am.
And as if being confined to a boarding school for the elite wasn’t bad enough, now I’m stuck in isolation with the boys who hate me most too.
Saint, Kyan and Blake. The Night Keepers. Or so they call themselves. They’ve embodied the Native American legend which lives in this valley, taking on the role of the monsters who lurk in the forest. And though they act like beasts, they may also be the most tempting creatures I’ve ever seen.
With the virus escalating and my dad’s name splashed through the news, my entire world is falling apart. What he did has cast a dark shadow over me. And the Night Keepers want to make me pay for his crimes.
Then things went from bad to worse when I touched the sacred rock. A rock which supposedly holds a curse to bind me as the Night Keepers’ slave. And as crazy as it sounds, I decided to play along. Because there are things about me they don’t know. Things my dad has hidden from me for years. All I can be sure of is that I have to find a way to escape this school. But until then, those savage boys are making my life a living hell.
As the virus sweeps through the country and the world twists into something ugly and unknown, the kings of this school become true monarchs. Even the teachers bow to them now. And I’m kinda glad about that ‘stay six feet away from one another’ rule, because without it, I know they’d rip me apart.
At least there’s a silver lining. I’m cosying up to Coach Monroe. My hot as hell, brooding P.E. teacher who has a vendetta of his own against the Night Keepers. And with his help, I may succeed at doing more than escaping the clutches of these heartless fiends. I might even destroy them along the way.
My father taught me how to be strong.
How to prepare for the end of the world.
So this isn’t going to be the end of my world, mark my words.
But if I’m able to use my mind and body to bring these assholes to their knees, it might just be the end of theirs.
Okay this series is actually one of my least favorite reverse harem bully romance books out there. There are multiple reasons for that: the bullying was too much, I don’t like the guys enough, and the story was not interesting enough.
But it is undeniably popular in this subgenre. Like, almost ridiculously.
So I feel like if you are into more extreme bullying or maybe just happen to be interested in this series, I should still recommend it just in case since everyone’s tastes are different.
Wicked Gods by Michelle Hercules
Series: Gifted Academy, #1
Genre: Reverse Harem, Fantasy, Magic, Paranormal, Romance, New Adult, Academy
Since the beginning of times, there have always been two sides: Norms and Idols.
But never have the scales been so unbalanced as they are today.
I’m a Norm, which means, I grew up in fear of the Idols and their godly powers.
And now, I’m going to be surrounded by them, day and night. I’ve been offered a place at the prestigious Gifted Academy, an opportunity very few Norms get.
To survive, I must become invisible. But my hope to get through the academy unscathed goes down the drain when the most powerful boys in school set their eyes on me.
They hate me simply because I’m a Norm. If they knew who I truly am, they’d tear me apart limb by limb. But I’m done cowering away from Idols. It’s time for the Norms to fight back, and it all starts with me.
This is out of all the reverse harem bully romances (and reverse harem in general) books I’ve read so far the closes recommendation for that series. It is so good.
Read it especially if you are craving enemies to lovers and slow-burn reverse harem in a more fantastical, magical, and paranormal setting instead of contemporary!
Marked by Ruby Vincent
Series: Evergreen Academy #1
Genre: Reverse Harem, Romance, High School, Dark, Contemporary, New Adult, Academy, Mystery
It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Evergreen Academy was meant to be my fresh start. My hair was on point. My skin was flawless. And now I wore the hell out of my clothes instead of hiding them.
Even running into Ryder hadn’t thrown me. So what that the green-eyed devil who tormented me for years now ruled my new school with a band of boys everyone called the Knights. The four of them were devastatingly rich, enviously handsome… and heartbreakingly cruel.
But the Evergreen Knights didn’t scare me. I had my own plans and no reason to enter their little world… until one fateful night and a masquerade ball changed everything.
I saw something I shouldn’t have and now I’ve been Marked.
They’ll do everything they can to break me but they don’t know the monsters I’ve faced. They don’t know I’ve been broken before.
If they want to take on Valentina Moon… bring it on.
Another academy reverse harem bully romance with mystery. Ruby Vincent is one of my favorite authors for bully reverse harem specifically.
Her romance is well-paced and the bully is not so unnecessarily unforgivable and extreme that I physically can’t continue. I’ve finished all of her reverse harem series.
Highly recommend and they are all available on Kindle Unlimited~!
