1. You need a cold, rainy day
Yeah, this you got to wait. Unless you got witchcraft.
2. Make sure your room is cold
Because if it’s cold, you can surround yourself with cozy blankets and pillows to warm yourself up and make it actually cozy.
3. And because ‘cold’ is the ideal temperature it’s best to do this in winter
But if there really is a good storm, then just turn up your AC.
4. Do this on an off day
Do this on weekends, or day offs like holidays. Then you won’t feel obligated to do anything.
5. Get food
This also makes a PERFECT opportunity for a cozy and amazing bed picnic. Can you imagine it? Amazing food, cozy blankets, movies, music, rain, coldness, BOOKS. Here is a list of snack ideas that I think would make a great bed picnic.
- Waffles
- Syrup
- Cream
- Hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows
- Ice cream sundaes (you might want to eat this first)
- Fruit salad
- Toast
- Butter
- Chips
- Popcorn
- Milk
- Cookies
- Chocolate chip cookies
- Oreos
- Bread pastry bucket
- Biscuits
- Water
- pretzel
- Donuts
Other stuff you’ll need along with the food:
- Tray (or tray tables)
- Napkins
- Utensils
P.S fair warning, you might gain a pound after this.
If you plan on eating meals, here are some ideas and tips:
- Try to go with hot food (to go with the cozy cold)
- Ramen
- Burgers and fries
- Pizza
- Chinese takeout
- Sandwiches
- Spaghetti
6. Choose your entertainment
Get them all ready at arm’s length. Although this post said “How to Enjoy Rainy Days as a Reader The Ultimate Guide”, it wouldn’t hurt to add some movies or TV shows to the lists as well. For me anyway. So get your kindle ready, pile all your books where you can reach them, get your laptop fired up for a good movie, and make sure you have your cords and outlet near you so you can charge them with ease.
7. Have your TBR list printed out for this event
This would be a perfect opportunity for you to finally clean out your TBR list a little bit and actually read those books.
7. Have your reading playlist pre-prepared
So when you read, you won’t be spending all your time choosing and looking for the right songs for your book. Use Spotify, iTunes, Youtube, whatever you want. Just get ’em ready beforehand.
7. Enjoy!
