This Week Recap #32: I Gave Leigh Bardugo a Second Chance, and I Couldn’t Be Happier

I am currently relishing my summer vacation, and even though it’s not like I’m sitting around doing nothing (I’m also furiously studying), I found myself allowed to read a lot more often, even if I’m still working hard on schoolwork.

This week I realized a lot about giving books second chances. As a reader, I’ve always known that if there is the slightest chance that I may be able to enjoy this book again (knowing that this book has specific tropes I like, etc), I will be more than willing to re-read this book. Becuase I want to enjoy the books. I’m not against, them, I want to give the books five stars.

I’m talking about this now because for a while now, my interest in Leigh Bardugo’s books have been drastically rising. Six of Crows’ critical acclaim has really caught my attention, and I finally gave it a try. The duology’s review is coming up next week, and let’s just say that I loved these two books so much I have actually re-read The Shadow and Bone trilogy and decided to give it a second time. But seriously though, one was a debatably ideal ending, and another has a rushed ending because the author only wants it to be a duology *sigh*.
