Lorcan Salvaterre! I am more surprised than anyone that I chose him. I am still so mad at him right now after Empire of Storms. It was all his fault. *Intake of breath*

Do you know how much it hurt me? I never ship couples other than the main ones, yet Elorcan was my first. They really grew on me in Empire of Storms, and the scene where he gave his favourite shirt to Elide for her period too really caught me off guard (in a good way). He is definitely a great love interest.

Despite this, I’m still reeling from the events of Empire of Storms, and I must confess that I have a love-hate relationship with Lorcan at the moment. He has certainly put my emotions through the wringer! But I couldn’t deny the impact he had on me as a character.

You see, I’m usually loyal to the main couples in books, rarely deviating from the expected path. However, Elorcan managed to sneak its way into my heart in Empire of Storms. The growth of their relationship was undeniable, and there was a particular scene that touched me deeply. Lorcan, in a surprising and touching gesture, gave his favourite shirt to Elide during her time of need, displaying a rare vulnerability and tenderness. But then, the unimaginable happened – he betrayed them. My heart shattered into a thousand pieces.

What do you think? Feel free to share your thoughts about Lorcan below! Let me know if you love (or hate him), and if you as a reader have forgiven him for his betrayal in Empire of Storms.
