MY REVIEW:

I received a free copy for an honest review.

The Epic conclusion to the Amazing Pledge Series. We’ve always seen how Charlie is a strong character, with independence and leadership. It’s all been shown with how she resists Sabara’s (Layla’s) constant struggle of control within her.

In this book, Queen Elena used her cruel way (Xander’s hand, and a secret letter) to lure our Queen Charliana to her castle. Our Charlie (with her ‘selflessness’) decided to sneak out without Max’s consent (because she knows he would try to stop her) and decided to bring Angelina’s babysitter, Eden with her (and later tagged along with our stubborn Brooklyn). So there went the journey to the evil queen, with the hopes of preventing war to be bestowed on her people. In the journey, we met more new people (Casper, and the orphans of the work camp).

Elena tried to start a war on Ludania, and later it reveled ultimately that what she always wanted was to take Sabara’s essence so she can have powers, because she, unlike usual royal heirs, was born without any supernatural abilities. We were also later shown that Niko manipulated her this way so that he can ‘get Sabara back again’, and that Niko is just as evil as Layla is.

All the complicated drama and Kimberly managed to wrap it up wonderfully with this good book. The story was fast paced, intimidating, with strong fighting scenes. It’s amazing to see from all this way, throughout the book how Charlie has transformed and improved, while she still possesses that kind and compassion nature. This all showed us even after the trilogy has ended, what an amazing ruler she would be. Along with her husband Max of course.

Kimberly has definitely outdone herself this time, and I am so happy I get a free copy for an honest review to enjoy this book. Thank you Kimberly!
